A Prayer for Wisdom

God, I pray that you will give me wisdom on my ministry and how to make it grow. I ask that you give me insight on effective marketing. I already feel the devil creeping in. First, with the name that just seemed like the best option. It brought thoughts, “see this is a crazy idea”, especially when a few other names were taken. I’ve also started second guessing myself. I hear the devil say you can’t spread the good news of Jesus and make money. That’s wrong and God won’t allow you to be successful. I ask that you give me confidence to follow the path that you want me to take. To not be afraid or scared. Sure it will be hard, but if it is your will, I will follow through. I know you will be right there with me every step of the way. The financial burdens of getting it all rolling are holding me back also. The devil is well at work in trying to stop me. He is putting doubt in my head which makes me question is it me wanting this or God. So God, I ask just give me the wisdom, the knowledge and the confidence to move on with your plan for me. I thank you for blessing me with this idea and to know you will be there. Thank you for loving me and having faith that I will follow your path for me. In Jesus name Amen.

This was written about 5 years ago. I had all intentions of starting my blog in the spring/summer of 2019. I wrote ideas and things in a notebook. I couldn’t decide on a name for my blog and that really kept me from moving forward. I wrote down post ideas, actual posts, name ideas, things I had learned about blogging and so much more. I couldn’t even make a logo because I couldn’t pick a name. During the rest of 2019 I continued to pray about this journey and if it was still what I was supposed to do. As part of a black Friday special I got web hosting for a great price. One step closer with the financial restraints, yes!

Then in April 2020 I enrolled in a class to learn about affiliate marketing. From there things just started falling into place. I decided on a name! My branding came together in a day. I already had a theme purchased for my site. Some extra funds allowed me to enroll in a more in depth blogging course. The best part is I won a laptop from the great people who I was taking the course from! I must say God’s timing is always perfect!!!

Then I hit a wall. Had trouble finding the words for the things I wanted to blog about. I had trouble letting go and really putting my blog out there. I even ended up losing everything I did and couldn’t get it back. More on that story later!
